ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Alasdair has been a Young Consultant (YC) for macrobert for almost 5 years. The YCs are a group of young people who act as ambassadors for all the young users of the venue, providing ideas and feedback to the management of the venue. They were instrumental in the refurbishment process undertaken by macrobert and completed in 2002.
Alasdair was heavily involved in the launch of Discovery, Scotland's First International Film Festival for Children and Young People in September 2004.
Alasdair was part of the writing group in the initial stages of macrobert youth theatre’s A Day In The Life Of A Lonely Heart, which was taken to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2005.
Alasdair will be a panelist at the CreateSpace Conference on the 9th September 2005 at Scottish Youth Theatre’s new building in Ingram Street. The panel will lead a discussion on Cultural Entitlement for young people. This will focus on the recommendations that have come out of the Cultural Commission's report.
